"Year of the Snake" is the second special stamp issue of the fourth Lunar New Year Animal Series. Agile and elegant, the snake has always had a special place in artistic expressions. In this issue, the beauty of this fantastic reptile is represented using four different Chinese folk arts. Adding to the traditional ambience of the New Year is a silk stamp sheetlet, which also makes a stylish gift for family and friends.

For a century and a half, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has been protecting the lives and dignity of victims of war and internal violence. It also endeavours to prevent suffering by promoting and strengthening humanitarian law and universal humanitarian principles. This set of stamps depicts the four pillars of ICRC, including protection in war, assistance for conflict victims, prevention action and cooperation with National Societies.

Hong Kong has a rich architectural heritage that presents an enticing mix of East and West. The Development Bureau's Revitalising Historic Buildings Through Partnership Scheme (Revitalisation Scheme) aims to preserve local buildings with great historical value, and at the same time breathe new life into them as revived cultural landmarks. This stamp issue presents the six buildings in Batch I of the Scheme: YHA Mei Ho House Youth Hostel, Tourism and Chinese Cultural Centre cum Ma Wan Residents Museum, Jao Tsung-I Academy, Hong Kong Baptist University School of Chinese Medicine - Lui Seng Chun, Tai O Heritage Hotel and SCAD Hong Kong. World Heritage in China Series No. 2: The Old Town of Lijiang

The Old Town of Lijiang is featured in World Heritage in China Series No. 2. Also known as "Dayechang", Lijiang is set against the snow-capped mountains in the Yunnan Plateau. Its architecture is well-preserved and hosts the traditional culture of the Naxi minority. This mesmerising old town is no doubt the place to go to for a study on Chinese architectural history and ethnic cultures. Featuring the Yulong ("Jade Dragon") Snow Mountain in the background, the picturesque sheetlet showcases the unique buildings of this timeless old town.
