(Issue Date: 1 July 2007)
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, a set of 6 commemorative stamps will be issued on 1 July 2007. These stamps will capture momentous aspects of the developments and achievements of the HKSAR over the past decade, and unfold the spectacular wonders of Hong Kong as a City of Life. The stamps when presented in sequence give out a rainbow tone effect, connoting a bright future of Hong Kong.
1 July 2007 will also be the 10th anniversary of the reunification of Hong Kong with the Motherland. To celebrate this important day, China Post will issue a set of commemorative stamps to signify the close ties between the Mainland and the HKSAR. One of these commemorative stamps will be jointly issued by China Post and Hongkong Post. This will be the first ever Mainland-HKSAR joint stamp issue. Details of the stamp design, associated philatelic products and the ordering arrangements will be announced later.
